For the 4th consecutive year, Accent Systems takes part in the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the most important worldwide event about mobile technology and Internet of Things (IOT).
There are many reasons that make this congress one of the most important moments of the year for our company: it gives us projection and international visibility; it allows us to know the trends of the sector to draw our lines for the future; we make new contacts that can end us turning into potential customers, and allows us to meet with our existing customers and partners to close or start deals.
New product: the NB-IOT Tracker
But this year, the MWC 2018 has been particularly important because we’ve launched our new product: the NB-IOT Tracker. It’s the first tracker available in the market that works with Narrowband IOT technology. It is developed for asset tracking and allows to optimize logistics and industrial processes thanks to geolocation and monitoring of goods. The device allows real time positioning for indoor and outdoor and collect data through a temperature sensor and a shock detector, among others.
The official launching of the product was the afternoon of Sunday 26th February, in the Mobile IOT Summit which was held a few hours before the opening of the MWC. Jordi Casamada, CEO at Accent Systems, made his debut presenting this solution for asset tracking in front of more than 500 people.
It’s a summit organized by the GSMA as part of the MWC, involving leading companies of the sector at the international level, both the leading operators and representatives of the industry. It is, in short, one of the key events of the MWC that has become the meeting point of the main actors of the technological sector and the IOT.
The summit analyzes the situation of the IOT market and, in this edition, has been the focus in the Narrowband IOT (NB-IOT) technology, that is being deployed around the world and will be a before and an after in the sector.
