For the third consecutive year, Accent Systems has presented their services and their new, innovative and successful projects to the world in the Mobile World Congress 2017.

Track&Go: Innovation and Service

This year, we’ve focused on updating “Track&Go”, a project developed with Samsonite, Vodafone, and In The Pocket, where we created the hardware. It’s a device designed to be placed in your travel or business bag, ensuring your assets are always located in real-time. This update utilizes NB-IOT, a promising new technology.

Proximity Alerts and Geolocation

The solution is based on two principles. First, the proximity alerts allow you to receive a smartphone notification when your bag is out of range. This feature lets you confidently leave your luggage in a dedicated compartment while traveling by train or plane without stress.

Moreover, this new proof of concept test with NB-IoT explores future possibilities of geolocation. It enables tracking your valuables anytime, anywhere. If your bag gets lost, you can see its current location and the necessary contact details to retrieve your belongings.

The NB-IOT Deployment

This new version of the “Track&Go” solution will work with Narrowband-IOT (NB-IOT), a technology that connects intelligent devices over long distances, using less power for smaller batteries with longer life and reduced costs for the final user.

Accent Systems has not only developed the hardware but also acted as a consultant for Samsonite and In The Pocket to explore NB-IoT as the best technology for the next phase of the Track & Go project, providing geolocation capabilities.
