Accent Systems has developed for Watchman Door, a company specialized in innovation and security in access control, various devices to control access from the phone.

The main objectives of these devices are:

• Permanently control all the doors of your home or business: entrance, private, parking, anti-squatter door…
• Have a record of all the people who access them, the schedules, the duration of the visit, and you can grant and deny access.

wDOOR eco

It is a high-security surface-mounted lock, made of high-strength case-hardened steel, with an anti-lever system, with a single anchoring point. It is specially designed for customers with a large number of assets to control.

wOku 

This product is a lock specially designed for the anti-squatter doors of STM Seguridad. It is a high-security motorized lock with remote connection via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) with batteries.

• Others: Vibration sensor, electronic lock, microphone, speaker.

wMot

It is a small electronic device with Bluetooth Low Energy technology (a beacon), which is installed inside the control panel of the automatic door, intercom, or any device that works with a push button. Through a mobile application, we send the command to open or close.

1. Consulting

Our first contact with Watchman Door was at a congress in Barcelona. They explained the project they had in mind, and we arranged a meeting to talk more calmly. They came to our offices in Barcelona, and there, together with the engineering team, we detailed all the technical aspects of the first device we were going to develop with them (connectivity, batteries…): wMot. 

2. wDoor eco and wOku

Once the first device was finished, we started with the other two: wDoor eco and wOku. The first step was to develop the hardware and firmware, and then we started with the server. From a mechanical point of view, we had to make several changes to find the perfect design for the products.

3. Industrialization

Finally, we started the industrialization phase. We have currently developed more than 12,000 devices.
