How iBKS Beacons Work
The device that enables this company to track their drivers’ journeys is our iBKS beacon. Placed in each car and paired with the ChilliDrive app, it monitors clients’ driving behavior and records their performance. As they say, it rewards drivers with lower premiums; the better they drive, the more they save.
In this use case, our iBKS beacons, synchronized with the app, assist in monitoring driving patterns. Carlisle stated, “We decided beacons were a simple solution to assist our clients in the most cost-effective way to ensure journey accuracy.” The beacon signals the smartphone when the driver enters the car, and the app measures driving smoothness, anticipation, cornering, and speed. After each journey, drivers receive a score.

Success and Collaboration
Autoline introduced beacons to their clients in August 2015 with the motto: “Drive safely and make big savings on your car insurance.” Today, there are over 3,750 of our iBKS 105 beacons installed in UK cars.
