PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Volkswagen Connect is a smart keychain that allows you to find your keys and mobile using beacon technology. The device sends information packets using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) that will be read by the Volkswagen Connect app, allowing the smartphone to be found on its own.
Additionally, if the driver moves away from their keys or mobile until they leave a predetermined area, a signal will activate that allows them to quickly retrieve them. But when the user is not within this area, the app will show the last location recorded by the GPS when they were lost.

HOW WE DID IT
It is one of the best examples of cooperation between us, as hardware experts, and DDB, as a communication agency. DDB conceived the project and we made it a reality for Volkswagen Spain. We covered all phases of development: hardware, firmware, industrial design, prototyping, and mass production.

THE CLIENT
DDB is a global communication and advertising agency, with over 60 years of experience helping other companies connect with their audience.

STEP BY STEP
1. Finding the best partner
DDB identified Bluetooth as the technology to use in this project before contacting us, and conducted an exhaustive search to find the best company to carry out this project. They needed a partner with experience in IoT and Bluetooth technologies and with a strong commitment to the project.
They finally decided it would be Accent Systems and contacted us to explore all the possibilities of the proposed project, and we started working together to present the initial idea to Volkswagen Spain.
2. We start developing the product
Once Volkswagen gives the OK to the project, we start product development: hardware design, firmware development, industrial design, prototyping, and mass production.
3. Consolidation and expansion of the project
Currently, the Volkswagen keychain is a consolidated project with more than 500,000 units in the market and available in 2 countries: Spain and Turkey. And soon in New Zealand.
